Since AI has been on the rise, I am trying to understand what are some of the best ways to reduce business costs. Especially for a small business.

Keeping your costs under control is important when you’re running a small business. One area I’d pay close attention to is the number of software tools you have. It’s quite common to end up paying for several platforms that do essentially the same thing. Consolidating them into one or two systems can reduce costs as well as make things easier to manage.

I’d recommend going through your bank statements at least once every few months and looking at where the money is actually going. Small expenses are easy to dismiss individually, takeaway coffees, unnecessary travel, premium services, memberships, excessive delivery charges, and ad-hoc purchases, but they can become substantial over a year. Looking at the actual spending rather than the budget can highlight where the business is leaking money.
